A quick update before Christmas

Beading
I made the wreath last year with the beaded ornaments, but this year I added the stars.
All the patterns and some are kits at Etsy and The Bead Coop.

Stitching
I stitched these for a friend of my Mom's they are for sippy cups. I am not happy with the pig, the colors make him look like he is sun burnt, and I have no idea why the designer would put french knots on a sippy cup. Stitching on plastic! I did the french knots when I had a thread I could snag, but there were french knots out in the open on "I LOOK", I didn't do stitch them.
WOOHOO! I finally have a finish! "Witches Stitch Too" by Homespun Elegance.

So I started on my Winter/Christmas SAL "Special Delivery" by Donna Gallagher, Creative Needlearts, Inc. He is my progress picture, below is what it will look like, when finished.

It has been a busy week, Bob left Tuesday morning for VA, but is on his way home now. Should arrive home around 2-3 am Christmas Eve. I am very happy about that. He didn't think he would be back until Christmas night.
Thought I would leave you with a picture of my last dessert I made for Christmas. Eclairs, yumm!

Dreams...

I have had two "FAT" dreams in less then a month, when I put this on facebook

This is what I found out...Fat To dream of being fat often means you are feeling guilty about having done something you shouldn't. If you dream of someone else getting fat, you may have done so......mean thing towards them that you regret. Or, it could mean that you are jealous of the person in some way.

So, it made me think, what have I done, what was I feeling guilty about...The only thing that I could think of was... I was feeling guilty about not exercising. I had told myself that I was going to start working out at the first snow fall and I haven't.

Kayden

Kadyen spent the night last Thursday night. He normally sleeps on a blow up mattress we have, but when he woke up in the middle of the night crying, Bob put him in our bed and Bob went and slept on the couch. Kayden is quite the bed hog!
Gallery
I am so excited!!! I join the Heartland Gallery! And today I will be taking some of my bead work into the gallery!
Well, that was my week, hope your week was a good one.

Good Sunday Morning!

Special Order...
I had a request through my Etsy shop to make a purple crocheted metal necklace.

This week's new designs...
Diamond Link Necklace. I made two of them and it took all week!
The patterns can be found at Etsy and The Bead Coop.
Bob...
Tuesday, Bob left of VA and Thursday he returned home. I was out picking up a few Christmas gifts, thinking we wouldn't be home until after 8 and I forgot my phone at home. Before I could get out of the van, Dylan was at the door, telling me to call Bob. He was almost home, so I took my purchases inside and was off to pick him up.
When we got home I noticed that there were reddish spots on the carpet, so I asked him if he had anything on the bottom of his boots. He said it was VA dirt. LOL!
My 15 seconds for fame!
WNDU came to the craft show that I did last Friday and took several pictures of my table. I was happy to see that they showed one of them at the end of the clip (the gold beaded ornament). Also if you look real close, you can see me standing, to the left of the screen right after they show the t-shirts, I am standing behind a board and a sign, but yes that is me. LOL!
I bought this at the craft show, because it cracked me up! It is toilet paper that has machine embroidery on it. I am going to give it to my Mom as one of her Christmas gifts.
Monday's are the day that Kayden and I make cookies, but he came over again Saturday and wanted to make "Blue Cookies" which are sugar cookies. I was getting all the stuff out while he was playing in the living room, all of a sudden he ran in the kitchen and said "You not making cookies without me!" He is so darn cute. Here are a few pictures.

Well that was my week, I hope you had a great week too.

Craft Shows
This week they had a craft show where I work at and they told me to bring some of my stuff in, so I did, but nothing sold. They said there wasn't that many people show up. But it did start snowing that morning and the roads where slick.
I was at another craft show in Wawasee, the same day. This was the biggest craft show that I had done, I think there were over 100 vendors there. They did bring in alot of people, but it didn't look like they were buying that much, just a lot of looking around. I hardly ever saw anyone carrying bags with them, when they came by my table.
When I walked around the show, I found someone else selling the yarn scarves that I had showed a few weeks ago in my blog. They were selling them for $13.50!!! I sell mine for $3.00-$5.00. A lady behind me had some too. I saw her the first time at the Warsaw craft show I did, that is were I first started selling the yard scarves. This time she had made some up and was selling hers for $10.00. There was another lady selling jewelry and she had some of the metal crochet necklaces for sale, she had $30.00 and $40.00 on her necklaces, I was selling the same thing for $8.00!!!
So, after reading all the price wars there you would think that I did great at the show. Well, I didn't. I made just $6.00 over my booth price. Live and learn.

Work
Well, I had my first elevation at work and she told me that she had never given anyone such a high score. The highest you can get is 23 and I scored a 22.
Kids
Dylan's birthday is today! My baby boy is 17 years old!!! He started working at McDonald's a few weeks ago and seems to like it, but came home one night and said "life sinks, when you have to work". Ahhh, my baby boy is growing up.
Etsy
My show at Etsy picked up for the month of November had 15 sales! My normal average is 2.

Well, that was my week! I hope you had a great one.

ThanksGiving?

Thanksgiving
It didn't seem like Thanksgiving at all. I did go to my MIL for dinner, but Dylan had to work and so did I so, we didn't make it to my Sister's. This is the first Thanksgiving that I didn't spend with my family since the beginning of time, will my time. LOL!
Beading
This week's new patterns are...
Star Ring
Flower Ring and Bracelet

All patterns can be found at my Etsy shop, Artfire shop and The Bead Coop
Christmas Tree
Friday I put up my Christmas tree. Kayden came over Friday night and he told me he wanted one too.
Stitching
Wednesday eve I started a new project Bobbie G Designs "CrossStitchAholic" I moved a few things around and of course I had to add something about beading.
I stitched it on a sweat shirt, it took me three times to get the waste canvas on right. The first time I had it on the shirt too low, by my belly button. The second time I had the canvas totally out of wack. Third time charm!
So I started stitching it and pulled my first thread through it would look great using Rayon threads, which is what the "Hi" is stitched in. But it was a pain the the neck. So I didn't used the Rayon on the rest of the shirt, I switched to regular DMC. Had to change a few of the colors from the pattern so it would look nice on the color of shirt I bought. But once I took off the canvas, I wish I had used a lighter color blue. But it is done and I don't think it's that bad, that I would take it apart. What do you think?
Well, that was my week. Hope your week was a good one.

Weekend Wrap Up

New Designs...
Tassels and Drapes, it is much prettier in person, has the look of a vintage style necklace. I made two one in the gold and the other in green.

Close up
Then came Tiara Necklace, I love this piece! If you flip the picture you will see a tiara.

Also made a couple of the orbit pins and barrettes.

And Fire-Polish pins and barrettes.
All patterns can be found at The Bead Coop, I do have most of them on Etsy, still need to add 4 more. And I did get a few more added at Bead Patterns Boutique.
Kayden
Right now I have Kayden on Mondays and Tuesdays and whenever he calls and says he wants to come over. LOL! This week we made cookies together and when I needed to get some housework done, I thought I would make him a tent with the kitchen chairs to keep him busy for a while. He called it his new home. LOL! (VIDEO)
Monday we were playing Frisbee with a lid tossing it from the kitchen to the dinning room saying 123 then tossing it to each other, we have been doing this for several times then Kayden started saying 123-8 and tossing it. He did that several times and I told him "No 8, just 123" he said, "Nana, buy more 8's"
Then Wednesday night he stayed the night with us and we gave him his bath, he likes to set in the tub until all the water is gone, while waiting for the tub to empty, he told me he needed to pee, so I sat him on the potty, wrapped the towel around him and he sat there for a while, looks up at me and say "It's not working right". Try to keep a straight face when someone says that to you.
As you can see this little guy is the light of my life. Don't know what I would do without him.

Craft Shows

Did another one yesterday and it was much better then the last two I did put together! I'll be going back to that one. They also do one in the spring. It's at the Fulton County Fair Grounds, in Rochester, IN. At the craft show one lady asked about the price on the pins and barrettes and I said "10-15" she said dollars or cents. LMBO! Well, what do you think???

Cross Stitching

Oh, yes I am still crossing stitching, just not a lot of it. I have put a few stitches in "Witches Stitch Too", but not enough progress to show.

I also received my beads that I ordered from House of Stitches that I ordered from the last Hoosier Stitchers Retreat and I got the pattern and caddy, I ordered from Fancy Works. Now I need to get a shirt to stitch the pattern on. The Hoosier Stitchers (those that want to) are all stitching this pattern for the next retreat in the spring and we are going to do our group picture wearing the shirts.

That was my week, hope yours was a good one.

Beading

A few finishes...
Crystal bracelet in ruby, also made a pin and a ring. The pin design is new and still working on the instructions.

Crystal design in a few more colors, pins and barrettes. Barrettes is also a new pattern still under construction.

Etsy
Received an order for 3 red spiders.

Beading Patterns
I have all my beading patterns for sale at The Bead Coop. Except for the ones that are still in the works. I was surprised to see that I have 25 patterns. And another surprise was that I have already sold 5 pattens!!! Still working on getting all the patterns on Etsy and I only have one pattern listed at Bead Patterns Boutique.
Craft Shows
I did another craft show yesterday and I have to say that I am really getting tired of the "craft shows" that are not crafts. I had one lady across from me that sold scrapbook software. Yes, scrap booking is a craft, but being a rep for the software is NOT, another lady beside me selling Avon and other home decor that was not handmade, comes from a catalog she was handing out. When I fill out the info for these craft shows that I have been doing, it always say "craft" shows and they have the right to remove anyone that is not a craft. So, why do they accept them??? I have another show next Saturday, hope that it is all crafts.
Sorry about the gripping above, but I feel better now. LOL!

oops!

OOPS!!!

Has it really need two weeks? Where does the time go???

I have finished a few things...New Ring Pattern

New Earring and Bracelet Pattern

Another New Ring Pattern

Not a new pattern, but I made a new bracelet.

Last month at a craft show, before the Retreat I saw a girl walking around with a necklace like this on. So I had to try and make a few myself. Here is one a tan/cream color.

And here is one in black. I don't know why but the tan/cream material curled up much tighter then the black material.

After making the necklaces I thought the material would make nice scarves also.

Last Saturday I need another craft show and I saw a couple of girls wearing yarn scarves that were not crocheted or knitted. So, of course I had to try to make my own. Here are a few of them. I made them in 3 different colors some long and some short. The ones pictured here are the short ones.

How to make a yarn scarf.
I used three different yarns. For the short ones...Pull out about two yards of yarn, three of each color. Matching up ends of the yarn and put them together, I found the center and made two knots off center then went down the yarn a little and make another knot on both ends. Straighten out the ends and clip them off, so it is nice and even.
For the longer ones I cut them at three yards.
Yesterday I did another craft show and I sold 7 or 8 of the scarves.
I had a few pieces of yarn left from making the scarves... so I just did a single crochet chain and knotted it together and sold them both at the craft show yesterday.

Made this for my friend Jenny.
Remember a few weeks ago/OK/more like a month or so ago, I make a necklace for my friend Lorrie, will I decided to make a few more and I even made one for myself.

And Finally!
I got Kayden on video saying "BIG". I have been trying for a very, very, very long time. It just cracks me up.

HOPE

I hope to get the new patterns on Etsy soon and you can also find my patterns at...The Bead Coop and Bead Patterns Boutique I only a one so far but there are a lot more to add.
