The Box from Cape May NJ

What was in my box...
Floss I picked that designers and shops sent to us and Mare made us all her beautiful flower pins.

This was the goodie bag from the local needle shop. I've already have my key chain on my keys. Dylan kept breaking my beaded key chain.

Material I bought from Stitch by Stitch, this was on my list. Plus some buttons they ordered for me.

Shirts I bought - for Dylan (he didn't like his shirt, so it's mine now), Bob, Kayden and Dara. I bought myself a sweat shirt not pictured.
Cape May diamonds from Sunset Beach and a few shells from Cape May beach. The shells I gave to Dylan and Kayden will share the rocks with me.
Vickie made us bags with our names on them. Sorry about the color, it is a pretty purple.

My pick from the designers.

My picks from the freebie box. Betty in AZ - I know that is your Fish City pattern, I don't remember you finishing this one!!!
A few more picks from the designers.
This is the stack of free patterns Penny gave to everyone.

More patterns from the designers.

This is a shirt that Raise The Roof sent to us. The ture color of the shirt is a light blue. This is the front of the shirt.

This is the back of the shirt.

Can't wait to find out where we will be going in 2012!!!

ILCS 6th Annual Retreat

Cape May, New Jersey

Wednesday night I got home after 11 pm, Bob and I worked all day. My plan was to get up about 1 am and leave the house by 3 am. Well, I never heard the alarm and flew out of bed at 2:40. Showered and threw the last minute stuff in my bag. Didn't get to do my hair or make-up! But I made it on time. They took my hairspray and lotion, I forgot about the 4 ounce rule. My plane was late, Karin's plane was early. We were suppose to arrive the same time in the same airport. So, Penny and Karin can back to the airport to pick me up and we were off for a little shopping.
Then something to eat. Penny is in the picture.

And of course we went to a bead shop!
Then a little site seeing. Woodland Village was tiny houses with different gift shops.

Then the zoo.

Then off to the Bed and Breakfast we were staying at. Soon after we arrived Mare and Vicky arrived too.

This was my bed.

Picture of Cape May beach.

This is the design Penny made for us, she gave us all a copy. Sorry the picture isn't clear.

Very morning, this is what the breakfast table looked like. I was the first one to go to bed every night, so I was the first one up every morning. I started the coffee every morning I was there.
The local needle shop! Oh what fun. I was very good and stuck to my list.

Karin, shopping.
Penny shopping.

Mare shopping.

Vicky shopping.

Then I took a three hour tour, looking for dolphin and whales. I saw several dolphins, but no whales. The boat went way out into the ocean and the temperature dropped, I so glad I took my jacket. I was setting on the top on the side holding the rail with my feet up looking for whales, but the rocking of the boat made me doze off. Now I totally understand why babies loved to be rocked.

Picture of the sun setting at Sun Set Beach. That is a boat that was sunk by accident WWI or II, I don't remember which one.

At Sun Set Beach Karin and I gathered a lot of Cape May Diamonds. I filled both my pockets and even put some in my purse.

We all went to a fair. Picture of Karin and me.

There were several historic building there and people explaining how things were in the early years of America. There was a band and I received an Irish blessing.

Big beautiful houses along Cap May shore.
Vicky and Mare. Mare is showing Vicky how to make ribbon bookmarks.

Mare and Penny. Mare is doing her pin cushion class.
Karin

We all went out to eat Saturday night. Me, Mare, Vicky, Penny, Karin

I think Vicky went home with the frog. She was stitching on the porch of the bed and breakfast, right before they left and had to rip out some stitches.

Sunday Karin, Penny and I went to Cape May Lighthouse and climb 199 stairs to the top!

Me, Penny and Karin at the top.

Then we went to an alpaca farm.

We stopped by Penny's house (she has a beautiful home), then to Stone Harbor Beach and there was another beach but I can't remember the name of it right now. I have to say this beach had the best sand and I found some pretty shells, that I gave to Dylan when I got home.

These are the goodies that made it home with me, beads from the shop, socks for Bob, a cookie cutter, measuring spoons for my Mom, a singing frog and a cookie dough scoop. Everything else I had to mail to myself, which cost $22.00 for the box, tape and shipping. If I would have taken it on plane it would have cost me $40.00. I should have my box Thursday.

On the way home the airport took my toothpaste, it was 4 ounces. Crazy world we live in.

Retreat -Sunday

Sunday
Last day of the retreat. Berly and I went looking for one more bead shop "Ladybug Beads" before we headed home. After a few zig-zags and circles we did find it. We actually called the shop and got directions from them. LOL! Wow it was a very nice shop.
My stash from the bead shop. They but my purchase in the bag under all the beads.

When I arrived home, sometime between 10 and 10:30 pm EST. There was a box on the kitchen table for me. A box of beads that I had ordered from Rings & Things.

This box is full of patterns, that I will be posting on the ILCS group, these are the extras from the retreat.
