October, you kept me busy!

I love this group!  Hoosier Stitchers Fall Retreat...More pictures at the end.
The start of Oct...
Had the tree stump removed.
Flowers were looking good mid October, then the leaves started falling.
Painted the hallway and kitchen.
Less then 24 hours, painted the hallway the same color as the kitchen.
The first color was too pink.
This is where the kitchen will be.  On to the dinning room-ceiling removed.
New Patterns
This is my new favorite, I've worn it a couple of times, with great reviews.
Hot Air Balloon #9, the last in this year's ornament series.  I also had to remake Hot Air Balloon #5, because it broke, when I was taking it out to the pine tree to take pictures.  The second one is made in a deep blue.
Getting close to the end of October, I received this wonderful, beautiful quilt in the mail!!!
I had no idea this was going on.  The quilt is from a yahoo group called ILCS (I Love Cross Stitching).  Debra H stitched one of the blocks and made the quilt.  Below are pictures of all the stitched blocks in the quilt.  BIG, BIG, BIG thank you for the quilt.

These four pieces are in the corners of the quilt, it had to see in the quilt pictured above.

When the quilt came I was packing to go to the Hoosier Stitchers Fall Retreat, so I took the quilt with me to show off. :)
Of course we stitched.
Cindy and Annette
Shirley and Liz
Liz finished the piece you see in front of her into an ornament.
Wish, I would have taken a picture of it when it was finished.
Ate and group therapy.

Dyed material, Coleen and Cindy.
And LAUGHED,
LAUGHED!
Goodies I found on the free table.
Progress pictures of my cross stitching.
Left side is what it looked like arriving the retreat and the right side is what it looked like leaving the retreat.
Autumn Aprons by The Cricket Collection.
Crocheted two vine scarves at the retreat.
Some of us went to House Of Stitches.
I bought frames for these pieces, I had finished for a while.  Frames are just setting on the material, I still need to do the actual framing.  I also picked up Fish City, only because they had a finished piece, framed for one of their customers.  And of course the Halloween magazine.
Retreat, sure are a lot of fun and giggles, but they sure do wear a girl out.
Cindy
That's my October, hope yours was a good one.

April Showers?

April showers, not so much.  But it hasn't been as warm as March was.

We continue working on the property line, cut down all the little trees and bushes growing and vines lots and lots of vines. This is what we hauled up front for the city to pick up.
Then more racking.  The leaves were so thick that it was easier to row the leaves with the rack, than trying to rack the leaves.

Then Bob, got the power washer out and cleaned up the deck and house.  One of the pictures below will show how much lighter the deck is now.
He also did the shed.  It had a lot of moss growing on the roof.
Of course Kayden was here to help Nana and Bob-Bob.
Kayden took this picture of me.
Of course we made time to play too.  With the park in our backyard, it's really easy.
Well, last month I raked the leaves out of the flower beds, so April, I wanted to get them cleaned up and see what flowers were coming up.  These two pictures are before.

These two pictures are after.  There was only two flowers and lots and lots of weeds.

Repaired the hole Dylan put in my closet when he was taking down his wall.
Kayden and I colored Easter Eggs.  I had found out that if you used electrical type on the eggs the dye won't bleed through, so we made a few with stripes then one with K.  We had a good time.

Kayden on Easter, finding all his goodies.

Bob built Kayden a sandbox, which he loves.  Picture is of Kayden and Dara.
Bob also made a tarp cover for the sandbox, to keep all the neighborhood cats out and all the stuff falling from the trees.
Progress picture of Dylan's room.  Putting up the drywall on the ceiling.
And pictures of Dylan's room-IT'S DONE!  Closet door on your left, door to his room on your right

 And a new window.
New vent cover that matches all the hardware in that room.  With the room being so small Bob made a couple of corner shelves to put his TV on and a few other things.  Dylan is all moved in his room.  I am just having a hard time finding a curtain for this window.
Then it was time to start on my studio room YEAH!!! First three pictures are before pictures.  The picture with the two doors is a walk in closet.  I'll have lots of storage!

This wall is the wall between my studio and the bathroom it is very jagged, it had two places where it came out.  The picture on the right is where we took down the wall and fixed the floor.
They had the hot water heater in this room, we moved it out and it is in the laundry area now.  That will be the utility room also.

To make the bathroom a little bigger, it was very long and narrow.  It felt like going in a stall not in a bathroom in a home.  We moved the wall over 12 inches.  It made a BIG difference in the size of the bathroom and I didn't lose that much space in my studio.

I also hung a few pictures in my bedroom.

Not as much as I would like to have done for the month of April, but still showing progress.  Until next month, I hope all is well with you and yours.
