Getting Ready for Halloween

Etsy
I opened a new shop at Etsy called "Witches Ghost and Bats", I decided to share my love for Halloween decoration with others. (tee-hee).
Look to the right and you will see my new shop, go ahead and click and it will take you to all my good stuff. I have a ton more to add. Right now there are pillow shams, lap blankets and treat bags.
Everyone thinks I have my items priced to cheap, but I think my prices are fair. What do you think?
Card for Kayden
I made this cute card for Kayden, I'll be mailing it to him the first of October. Material I dyed a long time ago, pattern is by San-Man Originals, freebie from 2005.
Front of card.
Inside card. Of course I put a bunch of stickers on the envelope too.
Sisters Halloween Gifts
I also made my sisters Halloween pillow shams. A couple of years ago I made them Halloween lap blankets and these will match their blankets. I also made myself one.

Dylan had to do a presentation speech but he couldn't cook in class, so he did that part at home, here is the video. He did this while I was a work. He got a B. I had to laugh because he moved all the dirty dishes out of the way, then when he forgot something out of the silverware draw, Bob followed he with the camera and got all the dishes.

Organizing

Kayden
Kayden came over and spent the night last Monday night. We made sugar cookies. We had such a good time. He got so excited when I showed him the apple cookie cutter. He loves apples.

He even decorated the cookies by himself. This week I made Kayden a Halloween pillow. A couple of years ago I made him a Halloween blanket, the pillow will match his blanket. He came over again Saturday night and spent the night again, I give him his pillow then.
Etsy
With all the painting, cleaning, moving and organizing the last two weeks. I haven't had much time to work on my etsy shop, but I did get this necklace done. I listed the pattern and kit in my shop. I this is also my "Little Black Dress Challenge" at Ohio Beaders yahoo group. No you don't have to live in Ohio to be in the group, just in the surrounding area.

Studio
Well it doesn't look like I will get the swirls on my wall, my niece hasn't returned any of my text or facebook messages. So, now I plan is getting new curtains and painting them. I think the room needs more of the blackberry jam in it.
My mess...what to do with all the beads, buttons, charms and wire??? Well I ordered at stand with hud pegs and I ordered 3 extra huds. It arrived on Friday and tried to get it put together before I had to go to work at Miller's. But one of the center pieces that screws in was stripped. Saturday I put that piece on top and started organizing. I got to all the huds full and was going to add the extras I ordered but they didn't send the stoppers. So I am using a temporary stopper.
And my mess went from this to...
This!
And there is room for more huds to be added. Then I can finish the small pile on the floor below the stand.Welcome
To my studio...Open the door, along the west wall...Computer desk, file cabinet. Yes, there is a small pile of papers I need to put in the pc, file and a few recipes I need to type up. If you look close you can see the necklace I made at the last Hoosier Stitchers Retreat, hanging on the knob. Then the cabinet with odds and ends for different crafting projects, freebie patterns that are in 3 ring binders and organized (Christmas, Seasons, 4 of July, etc.) and a few folders with leaflets that aren't organized and a couple of binders with different finishing ideas in them. I found that I need two more 3 ring binders one for beading and another one for crochet patterns. So, they are still things that need to be done. LOL! Isn't that how it always is?!? And on top is a pile of things that I need to take to Shari's...frames that need glass and things that need frames and a few more leaflets. Then along the North wall...is my stitching area. With winter around the corner I decided to leave my cross stitch quilt out that the ILCS group made me a few years ago. It is so pretty and colorful, I just love this quilt and it is still is new condition. Stitching chair, light and in the end table are wips, things I want to stitch soon and a few small kits. On top of the end table are projects I am stitching on now and stitching goodies. Stand is behind and can easily be pulled out when needed.I have added a few things to the wall. Then on the East wall is my working desk. For sewing or beading or what ever I am doing at the time. Small basket under the working desk is full of small cut pieces of material and a bag of cross stitch pieces that need to be finished into something. And I still need to clean and organize the draw.Along the South wall is the closet and the TV. Yes, it is an old TV, but it works great. And a small organizer hanging on the back of the door. Ignore the cord across the floor that is for the computer, need to do something with that, I have already tripped over it twice.I wanted to put in new floor, but with winter around the corner I didn't feel like I should be spending that kind of money.
Friday after work we (Bob and I) got a called from a friend said they were going to "Summer's End" and wanted to know if we wanted to go. I had heard of this for years and I have heard A LOT of stories about it, but we have never went. So, we decided to go. WOW! What an eye opener that was. That was my week, hope your week was good. Now I am off to stitch. If you stop by don't expect to see my studio so neat, it never stays that way. LOL!
Edit...there were a lot of questions about my spinning hub stand. It is from Gershel Bros. The one that I bought is (FS48) Floor Spinner Rack with (FSHUB) Extra Hub.

Life
Well...Dara, Brandon and Kayden have moved in with Brandon's Dad. They just have a small pile of things left in the dinning room to move and a few of Kayden's outside toys.
I miss Dara and Kayden so much!!! I actually cried one night because I was missing Dara. We have picked up Kayden at least 3 times last week. He is coming over tomorrow night to stay the night. I think we will make sugar cookies while he is here.
Craft Room
It has taken me most of the week to paint Dara's bedroom, which will be my craft room. I decided on Little Lilac and Blackberry Jam for the colors. My plan was to paint swirls on the wall with the blackberry jam, but I didn't like the way it turned out. So, I put a call into my niece Kelly, who is great with drawing and painting to see if she is willing to come over and paint my swirls. I just called her last night and left a message, so I am waiting to hear from her.

New Job
My new job is going pretty good, the other night I worked with the lady that hired me and she told me I was very good.
Other Things...
Looks like Brandon, Dara and Kayden are moving out. Bob had several talks with Brandon about him staying here...the extra expense of having someone in the house and he doesn't help out around the house (unless you ask him).
Last night when we got back from the family get together, Dara was packing up stuff and taking it out to her car. That is when we found out. I asked Dara if Brandon was helping her, she just glared at me and said "don't even go there". (okay a little back ground...Brandon broke his foot about a week ago. So he can't do anything.) I said there is no reason why he can't help sort and pack. He spent the night laying in bed playing on his lap top.
So, it looks like I will be getting a craft room!!! To be continued...

My Mornings...

My Mornings are always changing, but here is today's.
I read on Virpi blog yesterday about her morning and I took her challenge. So, here is my morning...Laying in bed waiting for the alarm to go off, so I know it's time to get moving. Start the coffee, left the dog out and I usually leave the door open (for a while) so if the cats what to go out they can. Wake up the computer and check my email. Coffee is ready so I grab a cup and read email. Post my new item on Etsy, Aqua Shimmering Snowflake Kit

Then I Twitter and Facebook.

Last night I received an email from Beads and Something More in Mishawaka IN, that they are interested in carrying my patterns and kits in there shop. I need to fix a pattern that I was going to print for them, a diagram of a 3-bead picot and crystal drop.

Printed that pattern and 3 others. Then it was time to wake up Dylan for school and Bob to take Dylan into school. Then it's get ready time, shower, make-up and first step in getting my hair done. Back on the computer a couple more tweets on Twitter. Tired to print a few more patterns, but the paper keep getting jammed.

Sent out emails to my customers at Etsy for a private BOGO sale.

Fix my lunch for work. I packed watermelon, spinach dip and hawaiian bread. Finished my hair, grab my purse and was off to work. Yes, I am still riding my bike.

Arrived at work the dog groomer had already unlocked the main door to the building. When I walked in I smelled stunk!

I unlocked the shop and turned on the signs, then went to the see if she had a bog that had been sprayed. She didn't. So the only thing I could think of is that a skunk got in the factory area of the building last night. Called Bob and asked him to bring in some air freshener, but by the time he arrived the smell was gone.
That is pretty much it. Will be checking work stuff now and the playing around unless someone come in to the shop. LOL! Have a good day.
