Frozen in Indiana

It has been a cold, cold week in Indiana.
Wednesday the motor stopped working on the furnace.
Bought a new and it was running in no time, but it wasn't getting warm very fast.
Bob figured out he didn't put the fan wire on right and it was just blowing the heat in the basement. Got it fixed and it was getting warm as the temps fell outside to
-12.
I did cleaned the living room and moved a few things around.
Finished the San-Man Originals freebie from 2002, Trick or Treat Candy Roll. Not my best stitching, but I think it was because I had hand painted the material (a long, long time ago) and some of the holes in the Aida were hard to pull the thread through.

Did some baking this week.
Banana Sticky Buns
1/2 C brown sugar, 1/2 C soft butter, 36 pecan halves, 2 C Bisquick, 2/3 C mashed riped bananas, 2 TBS soft butter, 1/4 C brown sugar
Heat oven 450. Put 2 tsp brown sugar, 2 tsp of butter and 3 pecan half's in each 12 medium muffin cup. Place in oven to melt the sugar and butter.
Mix Bisquick and bananas to a soft dough. Knead 5 times with flour. Roll out and spread 2 TBS butter and sprinkle with 1/4 C brown sugar. Roll up, pinch edge of dough into roll to seal.
Cut roll into 12 pieces. Place in muffin cup. Bake 10 min.
Immediately invert pan onto serving tray or baking sheet. Serve warm.
Hot Fudge Cake
The whole family loves this one. YUMM!!!
1 3/4 C brown sugar, 1 C flour, 6 TBS cocoa, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp salt, 1/2 C milk, 2 TBS butter (melted), 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1 1/2 C semisweet chocolate chips, 1 3/4 C boiling water. Serve with vanilla ice cream.
In bowl, combine 1 C brown sugar, flour, 3TBS cocoa, baking powder & salt
In another bowl combine milk, butter and vanilla.
Stir into dry ingredients just until combined. Spread evenly into a 3-qt slow cooker coated with non-stick stray. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
In bowl, combine the remaining brown sugar, cocoa. Stir in boiling water. Pour over batter (do not stir).
Cover and cook on high for 3 to 3 1/2 hours or until a toothpick inserted near the center of the cake comes out clean.
Serve warm with ice cream.

Saturday night Bob and I met up with some old friends from Argos. It was a lot of fun.

Lynn and Shawn H.

Lorrie N.

Bob and Lorrie

The group! Bob, Jody, Shawn, Lynn, Lorrie, Pat and Lori.
They made me play a game of darts, which I don't play darts and I won the one and only game I played. LOL!!!

Who has been affected by the stock market?
I didn't think I had been until Bob received a report on his local pension.
It lost $5,000.00!!! OUCH!

This makes me so glad I'm not in Indiana now. I hate the cold and snow and Ice. Love the SMO finish.
