THIS WEEK

Wednesday night one of Dylan's teachers wanted Bob and I to come in and talk to her. It was his English teacher and she just wanted us to know that she thinks Dylan is a wonderful kid, is a leader for some of the other students and is so nice to have in class. :) It's always good to hear good things about your kids. You worry about them all the time and never know if you are doing the right thing or not.

Kayden is talking now. He say...Nana, MomMom, BobBob (that is grandpa) he started calling Bob Pa, but now calls him BobBob. LOL! He say, night, hi, bye bye, boat, moon and a few others that I can't think of right now.

AND THE WINNER OF MY BLOG GIVEAWAY IS... KIM!
Congratulations Kim, I'll be mailing your pillow tuck, stitch counter and ripper out Friday. Please let me know when you receive it.

Another Week

Was reading facebook post the other day and found this one and of course I laughed...It's winter in Indiana and the gentle breeze is blowing seventy miles an hour, at thirty-five below. Oh, how I love Indiana when the snow is up to your butt. You take a breath of winter and your nose gets frozen shut. Yes, the weather here is wonderful so I guess I'll hang around. I could never leave Indiana cuz I'm frozen to the ground! Have a great day.

Stitching

I put several stitches in Kayden's blanket this week. Last post was Dec. 28th and I was half way on the letter y.

Etsy
This week's new additions to my shop. Love Bracelet, Love Necklace, Love and Hearts Bracelet
Sold the Love Bracelet and the Love and Hearts Bracelet. YEAH!!! Then I re listed them. That was a first for me. Most of my items are one of a kind and I can't replace materials that I used to make the item. But in this case I could. I just listed the Love and Hearts Bracelet the day it sold. That has happen twice now!!! Also grouped the pillow tucks and hanging tucks in groups and added a few more. Hope it makes it a little easier for the buyer to pick out what they want.

Oh and someone had put me in two treasuries!!! Cranberry Red Pillow Tuck and Crystal Peach with Aquamarine Flowers/Ring
****Edit just found out that I am being featured at Periwinkle-Paisley Blog. Check it out if you have the time.

My Week...

I started making birthday gifts. I have 4 sisters and 3 of them have birthdays in January. But I made all of them, plus one for my Mom and my MIL.
Love them so much, I made myself one.

Also made new curtains for the kitchen. Not sure if I live them or not. Everyone likes them but Dara. I like the material but I think it might be a little busy. What do you think?
Monday the kids went back to school, but it started with a 2 hour delay, same with Tuesday and Thursday they were released early. Wednesday night I was watching the news and the weather man said it was going to start snow and stop sometime in May. LOL!
Tuesday I decide to clean the top of the cabinets and touch up the paint in the kitchen. When we moved in they had just painted, but I could see little white spots. Where the paint wasn't thick enough. They left the paint here.
I was just getting started, had the cabinets cleaned off and was touching up the paint above the cabinets. I turned to step down off the step ladder, with a can of paint in one hand and a paint brush in the other, when my first foot slipped. BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! That was my butt hitting every step on the ladder then the floor. Bob comes running in and says "What was that?" As I was getting up, I said "I fell, but look I didn't spill any paint".
Later Brandon came in the kitchen and asked what that noise was. He was putting Kayden down for a nap. After I told him he laughed and said it shock the whole house.
When Dara got home she asked what I was doing, after I told her said she never noticed.
I think I am the only one the spots bothered.
Ended up with a bruise on my bunn and one on the backside of my arm. I did get the rest of the kitchen done. Thought I would be sore the next day, but I woke up fine.
Friday I was carrying the vacuum and I ran into the laundry basket and it hit my knee. Ouch! That night I hit by little toe on the corner of the dividing wall in the bathroom. Ouch again!
Saturday night I finished my snowman SAL for the ILCS group, Winter Blues by Stitchy Kitty. This is one of the pieces of material that I hand dyed at one of the Hoosier Stitcher's Retreats.
