Hoosier Stitchers Retreat

Thursday-Sunday was the retreat. It was just want the doctor ordered.

Thanks to all the ladies that were able to make it this year.

Let the stitching begin!

There was a total of 30 stitchers.

Coleen's nails. Tee-Hee!

The weather was wonderful!

Ana and Deborah enjoying the day.

Look at me, I vacation with a designer! Jodi from Maddie & Me Designs. What an inspiration and wonderful person. She shared with us her life's adventures, hopes, dreams and her designing adventure. Jodi also has an Etsy shop, The Spotted Turtle. I sure do hope our paths meet again.
All the wonderful finishes.
My new toy! Craftlite and a lens cover and carrying bag. Lens cover and carrying bag were made by Coleen. It has a light and a magnifying lens. LOVE IT!!! I bought my Craftlite from Fancy Works.

THE GOODIE BAGS

Shirley was so excited, I don't think she would set still and wait for her name to be called.
Following pictures is what was in my goodie bags.

Three designers made special designs just for the Hoosier Stitchers group.
The Stitching Parlor, Inc kitted a bookmark, Maddie & Me designed the roommate and Carousel Chats kitted the "Love In Stitches" Pendant Charm, she also put on the pattern designed for Coleen.

From the freebie table and Coleen's game.

Shirley giving Coleen the Thank You card.

Pam dying her material and picture of all the material.

Picture is of the group that finished the "Love In Stitches" design.
More finished, but had already left the retreat.

I finished 4 projects!!! I am so proud of myself.

First finish...Thank You by Cherry Wood Design Studios . Second finish...Love in Stitches. Third finish...Hannah The Happy by Brooke's Books Publishing and the fourth finish...Melon Block by San-Man Originals freebie from 2007. Close up of the necklace "Love In Stitches".
I brought this ( What Happens At Grandma's by Waxing Moon Designs) project with me not expecting to get this far on my WIPs, UFO pile. So, I didn't have all the floss with me. This is a project that Dara started when she was expecting Kayden. First picture is what she stitched before she told me she wouldn't finish it. Second picture is how much I add at the retreat.

Then I started a new project. Art of Love by Trail Creek Farm.

The retreat renewed by spirit and filled my heart with joy.
