June, where did you do?

Wow, where did June go?
It started off with this Watermelon Cake recipe I found here.  I made mine like the recipe, but forgot to add the chocolate chips while the cake was baking.  My plan was to let it back 5 minutes then sprinkle the chips in, but I was busy making the frosting, while it baked, that I forgot.  So I added the chocolate chips in between the layers in the frosting.  My watermelon cake was kind of a seedless watermelon. ;)
Just as I was cutting the first piece of cake, 4 friends of Dylan's showed up, so we all enjoyed the cake.  Later found out that he (Dylan) group texted a picture of the cake to his friends.  Dylan keeps asking me to make it again.
Look what I found blooming in my garden.  Last month I showed a picture of the yellow daylilie, so I thought they would all be yellow, what a nice suprise when I found this beauty.
Dylan graduates!!! YES!  By baby boy.
 Me, Dylan & Bob

Finally put new gravel in the driveway.  It was a muddy mess when we move in (Feb. 2012).  We had extra gravel, we give it to the church parking lot across the street.  They thanked us later.
Bob, leveled the driveway off, with a Bobcat before he brought the gravel in and used the extra dirt to fill in areas around the yard.
I took a day for myself and went to the beach!  It was almost 100 that day and the breeze of the lake was wonderful.  I had my double floatie with me from last year, but I didn't know it had a small leak.
I ended up putting the float half in the water and half on the beach.  By the time I was ready to leave, it was flat where I was laying and air all around me, I am sure it looked pretty funny.  But I didn't care, I enjoyed my day at the beach and it was wonderful, a weave would come in and cool me off as I slept in the sun.
I've been buying beads, here are a few that came in this month.

Bob & I went to Toto, it's a place that has a couple of discounts shops.  I found this small hanger, that I needed for the Fairy, I bought early spring from Gayla's Gourds.

They had these cute turtles.  Had to have one for the flower garden.  Cooper (our dog) didn't know what to think of it at first.  Tee-Hee.
 These big metal flowers.
And I found a flower pot that will fit in the butterfly.  Still need to plant a few flowers in it.
This is what Bob, brought home.  I love it!  He even hung it on the house, just after we returned home.
When I saw this recipe posted on FB, I had to try it that day.  We had a late Sunday brunch, Blueberry & Raspberry Baked Oatmeal.  The recipe calls for blueberries or raspberries, I made mine with blueberries and add more than what the recipe called for.  Then I sprinkled brown sugar on each serving.  Another keeper, you can find the recipe here.
Temps are going to "feel like" 104 today.  Boys we're going to the beach!  We went to Lake of the Woods, first time we (Me, Dylan and Ryan by great nephew) had been to this beach.  I got a new double floatie in the mail the day before, the boys really like the diving deck, you had to swim out to to dive off off.
This is Dylan doing a backflip.
Ryan on the left doing a front flip and Dylan on the right doing a backflip.

 My STUDIO!
Is painted and I have the doors & trim stained!
Well, that was my June.  I hope you had a wonderful June too.

Wow, Debra, you have been busy. Grats on getting the studio painted and stained. The boys look like they're having a blast. And I'm glad you had fun too. You found some really cool things for the yard too. I love the turtle and the sun. Wonderful!!!
