Christmas

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas.
Christmas day was very busy day for us.
First Christmas at home, then MIL's and then my sister's.
Kayden is 7 months and had a great Christmas.
My sisters dressed up at Witches this Christmas.
Why? Long store short for my sister Mary.
Picture below.
Barb, Mary, Carol back row.
Me and Loretta front row.
And here I am in the WalMart dress. I added the material patches, buttons, paint and trim around the sleeves and bottom of the dress. I have bat earrings on and the broom I order on-line. The hat was a gift from my sister Mary last Halloween and the shoes from KMart, I added the paint and buttons.
My sisters were mad at me because they said my outfit was too cute, to be a witch. LOL!

Trying to make some progress

Trying to make some progress on Kayden's baby blanket.
I filled in a few area on the boy and started his name at the top of the blanket.
Kept running out of thread, so I set it aside for now.
Pulled out the Garden Angels that I started on at the beginning of the year.
This is what it looked like...
And this is what it looks like today.
I've done some beading.
This is all the variations of two patterns.

My plan is to make up several of them and make a wreath with them.

This is another picture of the large ornament that I beaded so you can see how big it really is.
Kayden loves to watch the big ornament spin. I have it hanging between the living and dinning room.
Kayden now has 5 teeth and will be 7 months old tomorrow.
He loves to walk (with help), getting into the Christmas tree and ornaments.
We had a lot of ice the other day and several tree limbs fell. Two on my car, but no damage was done. Today it is windy and you can hear the ice from the trees hitting the windows.
Well, I think I am going to make some cookies now.
Have a great Christmas everyone.

Fabulous Friday

Started off the week beading another ornament.
Green bulb, gold and green seed beads.
Decided I was done beading the large Christmas bulb, because I can't find any more beads to complete it.
But I have gotten a lot of complements on it, so I guess it is done.
Wanted to add a mistletoe, but couldn't find a small one.
This is the ornament that Coleen and I bought at the H.S. retreat as a joke.

Thursday my sister Carol called--Heard your Christmas tree was ruined when you moved. We have one that was left behind by the previous owners. Don't know what kind of shape it is in but if you want it - it's yours.
Bob went and picked it up, carried it in and started putting it together.

I think it looks pretty good!
Couldn't find the tree skirt so I used a blanket. LOL!

Been working on Bob's Christmas stocking, until I ran out of DMC 4010.

So, I pulled out Romeo and Chicks by Frankie Buckley, Leisure Arts.
And happy to say I finished it Friday!
This piece was a UFO and a BAP.
That is what made it a Fabulous Friday!!!
Having a finished was great, so I pulled out Kayden's baby blanket and started stitching on it again. Click here to see what it looked like.
Below is a picture of what it looks like today.
I kept running out of floss, using 6 strands - the floss goes fast!!!

Last Week

Been working on Bob's Christmas stocking and you can see I have finally made it to the foot part of the stocking.
And yes there will be enough room that I won't have to flip the pattern.
Finished Dara's Christmas bulb.
Silver bulb with #81 mill hill beads and metallic silver beads.

Two more bulbs with the same beads in a different combination.

These are the tiny silver bulbs with blue iris beads and white gold beads.
Done in a combination of two different patterns.

More tiny silver bulbs with blue iris beads and white gold beads.

Tiny silver bulbs with green iris beads and white gold beads.
The beaded ornaments are made with needle and thread that is beaded around the ornament. Starting at the top of the ornament with a circle of beads and ending at the bottom of the ornament with a circle of beads.

And of course a picture of Kayden.
He is 6 months old.
