Kayden Turns 3!

Kayden Turns Three!

Sunday was Kayden's birthday at the park.

Bob and I give him the tricycle. Kayden jumped on it and started peddling away. When Bob and I were getting ready to leave, Kayden wanted us to take the tricycle to our house. LOL!

My Week...

Crazy busy with pools. We built another pool.
Liner replacement in another pool.
An in ground restoration, we had to cut out the concrete.
Dig out the dirt. There I am in all my glory. Tee-Hee!
Put in new return lines.Replace the concrete that was cut out.
And install new equipment.
It was cold the first part of the week and I was cleaning and opening pools with three shirts and a coat on. What is wrong with that picture?!? And I think we were rained on every time we were out.
Friday I was suppose to work at my other job, but we needed to finish up some pool jobs. I knew that I wasn't going to be able to make it home in time to clean up and get ready for my other job. So, in the morning I started calling...Called my boss, she told me she was on vacation to call Jen, called Jen-she didn't answered left her a message and a text. Waited an hour or so and called the office. The big boss answered and I told her I wasn't going to be able to make it in and I didn't lie, I told her the truth. So, because it wasn't a family emergency and I wasn't sick I got a POINT! Well, now I know better, looks like I will have to lie the next time. I haven't missed one day that I have been scheduled and when someone calls me to fill their spot, most of the time I do. And I go in 15 minutes early and start working off the clock. Oh, I also called all the other girls that could have filled my spot and no one answered their phone or returned my call. We didn't get home that night until midnight! We had to set lights up to finish the job.
Saturday again we worked until a storm came in when we got home it was sunny and nice. So, we cleaned up and I called an old high school friend to see if she and her hubby wanted to go out. Deb needed some fun after a long week!
We had a blast! Needless to say we actually slept in Sunday and didn't start working until after Kayden's birthday party and again we had to stop because a storm came in.

Video of Kayden at the park. Sorry it is sideways, I had flipped it but when it loaded it came like this. I love his landing.

Well, that was my week. I hope you had a good one.

My Week...
Thought my mother's day was over last Sunday when I posted my update, but Monday when I woke up I found this at my computer. Dylan bought me a new mouse and I really needed one. Also got a surprise phone call from Josh a good friend of Dylan's. Josh called and wished me happy mother's day.

Working everyday doing pools, openings, cleanings and we built another pool this week.
I haven't seen much of Kayden this week, really missing my little guy. Wednesday I called Dara to see if it would be okay to pick him up and take him to DQ. She said yes. So I asked to talk to Kayden and asked him. He was so excited.
And just when I thought summer weather was here, we have had two days of cooler temps and rain. I had to turn the heat on for a while last night to take the chill out of the house.
Well, that was my week, hope you had a great one.

My Week...

Besides checking out a place for the Hooiser Stitchers retreat and the new beading patterns, my week has been a busy one, filled with cleaning house, laundry, watching Kayden and building a pool. Still haven't found the hammock, I guess I will need to move things around in the garage to fine it.
Oh and working on my next retreat with the ILCS group, this year we are meeting at Cape May, New Jersey. I found out it will be cheaper for me to rent a car and drive then it would be to fly. Flying would be a plan change, two buses and a taxi to get to the bed and breakfast we will be staying at.

Received Mother's Day text from my boss at work, another girl I work with, Brandon and Dylan, Dara called me. A card from my Mom earlier in the week. Went to my MILs for dinner and gave her, her gift. She gave me a card with cash to buy flowers. Then I helped Bob with a pool and then took Dylan to work. Called my Mom and she was going to be home, so I ran out to her house to give her, her gift. She asked me if I wanted any linen to cross stitch on, of course I said sure! She brought out a very large box most of it is linen and very large pieces, (by the yard, most of it) and some aida also.

My gift closet has really come in handy lately. Lots of babies this year, wedding gifts, Easter gifts and Mother's Day gifts. I now need to make more baby blankets, I just give the last two away.

Well, I think that is it for this week. Hope your week was a good one. Happy Mother's Day to all the Moms and Mom figures out there.

Hoosier Stitchers Fall Retreat House 2011

I have looked high and I have looked low. I have call 100 if not more places for our retreat in the fall, left tons of messages, a lot of them never called back. Talk to one lady 3 times because her place came up in my search several different times. LOL! But finally, I think I found a place we can gather, laugh, cry and make new memories.

Barbee Christian Church

27 Ems B2 Lane

Leesburg, IN 46538-8994

Warning the road in Warsaw where you turn off onto East Old US-30 in not marked well if you are coming in East bound on US 30, West bound you can see the sign but it is off the corner.

If you are coming in this way St. Rd 13 is not marked at the light, but you look down the road you will see the St. Rd 13 sign.

Heading North on 13 there is a clear sign for Barbee Christian Church.

When you see the Corner Stone Homes and Barbee Marina sign, turn on the road between them. ;) Which is East County Road 400 N.

Now once you find 27 Ems B2 Ln, be careful pulling in the drive, it is split with gravel between and big gaps.

Okay, have we all make it to the retreat house safe and sound??? I will give you a little history about the retreat house is was built in 1922 for Al Capone to hideout. So, if that was on your bucket list, you will now be able to mark it off.
Lets go inside and have a look around...This is the living room, where we will have our stitching. We can set up tables. See Terry at the door there is a porch out the doors we can use that area to, if needed. I think it will work great for our crafty classes.

Yup, that is Kayden, he went with me.

To your right you will enter the dinner room. We can set up tables in here for eating, freebie table and show & tell table. Looks like the folding chairs are padded.
Walk on through the dinning room and you will enter the tiny kitchen. Yes, pots, pans, plates, etc. are provide. We will need to bring our coffee, tea, drinks, etc. No ice machine and sorry no dishwasher.
Then through the next door and down the hall way is a bathroom and shower, yes on the first floor.

A little further down the hall and another bathroom.

Continue down the hall and there is the nurses room, it has two twin beds (not bunk). These beds will be saved for anyone that has a REAL problem with the stairs. Sorry I didn't get a picture.

Okay upstairs there are 5 bedrooms, one with 4 bunk beds, one with 2 bunk beds and three rooms with 3 bunk beds. Picture of one of the rooms with 3 bunks.

So, we can sleep 32, (I think I counted right) but Terry said 20 is comfy.

Price is $48.00 for three nights. You will need to bring the same as you have the pass retreats, bedding, shower stuff, etc.
Now we need to set a date. Please let me know what date is best for you in November. Nov. 3-6, Nov. 10-13 or Nov. 17-20. Once we pick a date, then I will need the deposit to keep the date.

Now we have two places in Northern Indiana for our retreats, if one is full we can go the the other. :)

My Week

Lots of rain and little sunshine. But Kayden and I did go out to play while we had sunshine. Today it is beautiful, I'll be looking for my hammock, it's in the garage somewhere.

My Etsy shop is doing well, I make a little more each month, since January. I sure hope it continues.

Haven't heard anything from my last job interview and we have new residents at my job that are just RUDE! They cursed at me one night! I found out that they do not act like this during the day, just in the evening when I am scheduled to work and they are rude to everyone that is working. Gees, could it have something to do with the way their breathe smells? I did report them yesterday, we will see what come of it. I also asked to have my hours cut for May and June, one because of them, two because it is pool season and three because... will I won't post that one.

Oh I forgot to give an update on my car last week, I got it back and it cost $170.00 for the repair. Almost as much as it cost to get it back home. LOL! Such is life.

Ordered bead backing to make beaded embroidery pieces from Nicole's at Etsy. I received my package within two days of my order. I can't wait to try it out!
