Stitching Progress, Beading and Christmas

Made several beaded rings in different colors. I love the way they turned out. Dara picked out one and she wears it on her thumb. Dara has also put in an order for more.

This is what Earthdancer looked like last Sunday. And this is what she looks like now. I was getting tired of stitching on her so she had gone back in the cabinet and I pulled out Kayden's blanket.
This is the top part of his blanket and what it looked like when I brought it out to play.

And this is what it looks like today.
Christmas was a busy day. First we had Christmas at home then to my MIL's and then to my sister's. Brandon, Dara and Kayden was still doing Christmas the day after on Brandon's side of the family. My house has been over ran by Kayden's toys.

Progress

The first picture is the last progress picture of Earthdancer. When I brought her out to do more stitching I found that I had to rip out more stitches from the top of her head. The next picture is what I had ripped out and the progress I made on her. Funny that her hair grew even though she was scalped. Tee-Hee.
Total progress picture. I tried to see when I started stitching her and it was some time either before 2006 or during 2006. In Jan 2007 I restarted on new material, because the material I was stitching on had a small hole in it.

Caught Bob napping with Kayden yesterday.

During the week I worked on my Etsy shop, trying to get better pictures. We had one real sunny day and I redid most of the pictures of the ornaments and jewelry. Also made several pairs of heart and post earrings and added them to the shop too. And I made the jewelry in the picture below. But haven't added them yet. Will add them to the shop when we get another sunny day, the pictures always turn out so much better in the sunlight.

My seed bead order arrived and I continue to work on the beaded Christmas tree. But I didn't order enough beads and run out already. Also placed an order for sterling silver and gold filled wire and earrings to make more of the "Love" pieces.
I found the snowman pattern that I want to stitch for the snowman SAL at ILCS group, next month. I will be stitching "Winter Blues" by Stitchy Kitty, it was a freebie in 2005 . Will be picking out the material and threads soon, so I will be ready to start in January.

Until next Sunday, stay warm, hug your Moms and kiss your babies.

Special Orders

Remember if you see something in my shop at Etsy, but you want a different color just let me know. I had two special orders this week. Beaded necklaces in red, blue and green and a Christmas spider in red and black. Thanks so much ladies!!! I do hope that you like them. And added a few more for the shop.

When I was making the necklaces Dara saw them and asked if I could make her an anklet .

I also make a necklace for myself.

Not much else happen this week. I did finish a beaded ornament yesterday, but haven't taken a picture of it yet. The ornament is larger and it has picot with crystal drops.

Thanks so much to everyone that visits my blog and leaves a comment.

Stitching!

You can click on all pictures to enlarge.
This is one of the scrap patterns that I got from one of the ILCS retreats. It was quick and I really like the colors in it. I used DMC rayon threads and I dyed the material at one of the HS retreats.
I finally remembered to pick up DMC I needed for Hannah and stitched on her, but have decided to use the metallic threads and not DMC for the rest of the stitching that is left. And of course I don't have that color in my stash.
It was time to get out Earthdancer and rip off the top of her head.
I think that is all that I will have to rip out.
Decided not to jump back in where I had just ripped, but did make some progress on her.
Yesterday I received this in the mail from Mylene. Thank you so much!!! I love your ornaments. It is now on the tree with the others from years past. You are so nice and do such wonderful stitching and finishing. Thanks again! It really made my week.
This is what I have been working on this week for my Etsy shop. Beaded star earrings, necklaces, bracelets and ornaments (ornaments not shown in picture). They are really neat 3-D stars. I should have them in the shop soon. Still working on pictures. Also started a beaded Christmas Tree that is going to be gorgeous!!! But it is very time consuming and I still need to order more beads for it.
And I participated in an ornament exchange at ILCS group and Vicky has received her ornaments that I made her so I can show the picture now. I was so happy to hear that she loves them!
I will be doing a blog give away each month next year. So please spread the word!
Thanks so much to everyone that visits my blog and leaves a comment.

Thanksgiving Week

Kayden on Bob's phone. I still don't let Kayden play with my phone.

Still trying to find places to put everything. I put this up in my bathroom, because the theme is summer and beach.

Then I added all the summer, beach things I could find. So theses pieces were an exchange we had in ILCS a while back.

Yes that is right my bathroom! No one else likes it because it is small. But I love it and I have my own bathroom!!! So, what do you think?
Wednesday morning when I was looking around I found that one of my items from Etsy was in the Treasury!!! What a wonderful surprise.
Thanksgiving we went to my MIL then to my Sister's.
Friday Bob and Kayden put up the tree and I decorated it.
A very busy week for me. I added 24 pillow tucks and 25 hanging tucks to my Etsy shop. And still have a few more to add. I now have 102 items!

A Week With Kayden

Last Sunday while I was making French Toast, Kayden pulled up a chair and got into the coffee creamer. He poured a line of creamer then was dipping his finger in it. This kid loves to cook. He is always right beside me when I am cooking. One day after we had made something and cleaned up the kitchen. I wanted to lay down, because I was tired. Kayden came in the living room and kept trying to get me up. He went into the kitchen and came back out with the muffin pan, then laid down by me and put the pan on top of us, like a blanket. LMBO! Last Sunday night I decided to stitch, so I pulled out the Crystal Tree and added some beads and some of the ribbon work. Then realized that I didn't have one of the threads, so it went back into the cabinet. So, I took out Hannah. I remember I started stitching on her Labor Day weekend, but I didn't get much done. I must of stitched on her again, but can't remember when it was. This is what she looked like when I pulled her out.
Monday, Kayden does this silly thing with his tongue.
Had to change his shirt that day after helping with dishes, he was soaked!
Kayden loves to take the cushions off the couch. He is so proud of himself.
Monday's Video-Are you eating dog food?
Tuesday, I woke up around 2 am in the morning and was sick, so I spent most of the day in bed.
Kayden learned to use his bucket that holds toys to get up on the couch and chair.
Time to show off the belly!

Wednesday time for a snack. A spoonful of peanut butter.
Ah nap time. He takes his nap around 11 each day. He is really easy to get to sleep for nap time, but when it's bed time, that's another story.

Wednesday eating eggs.

Wednesday night. I went to pick up Dylan from Church and when I returned home, Kayden was doing this. He also pulled out Dara hamper and was pushing it around.

Thursday snack time.

Friday, he love to share his food with Cooper, Dara's dog. He normally doesn't throw it, but drops it on the floor.

He also loves to play on the computer.

There were lots of things that camera, video didn't get. Like when he was tying to get up on the glider chair using the foot stool and got stuck between them hanging in the air. Then when I was sweeping, I shut off the sweeper to go to another room and I heard him screaming. Went running to where he was at and he had his head stuck in the arm whole of the computer hair.

As you can see I still have boxes to deal with. I can't figure out what I am going to do with my Milk Glass collection. I don't want to get rid of them. Some day I would like to have a tea party. I know silly, but some day.

Friday Dara got her acceptance letter from the University of Evansville, with a $12,000.00 scholarship for each year she attends (up to 14 semesters), lives on campus (if she lives off campus the scholarship drops to $8,000.00 a year) and holds a 2.5 grading average.

We are so happy and excited for her, we took her out to eat to celebrate. There are still lots of things to figure out and she still has to apply for other grants and scholarships. She also has the 21st Century Scholarship, which will pay for 4 years of tuition to a State College, but Evansville is a private college. So we have to find out how much it will pay for her. She is planing to take a trip to Evansville soon.

Okay back to my stitching...This is what Hannah looks like now. I stitched until I ran out of a color. Made two trips to JoAnn's this week and still for got to pick up the thread.

Saturday night we were going to watch a movie and I wanted to stitch, couldn't stitch on Crystal Tree, still need the thread. Couldn't stitch on Hannah, forgot to pick up the thread. Pulled out Earthdancer and remembered that I still have to ripper her head off, so she went back in the cabinet. Found these kits Vickie sent to me for the secret sister exchange a year or so ago. They were perfect quick stitch, while watching a movie. Thanks again Vickie!

My Etsy shop...no more sales yet. I spent a good part of the week working on a new piece that ended up in the trash. Rethinking the hole design and I think I have come up with something that will work.

Still learning alot about Etsy, talked with a few people in chat last week and learned a little from them too. And joined the Indiana Group in Etsy. Here is their blog.

I have been using Google Analytics for my Etsy site as of this morning... I have had 537 visitors to my shop!

I did get a few ornaments beaded this week, made two Christmas spiders, started a new larger beaded ornament (still working on it) and made several floating illusion necklaces and bracelets. Still trying to get enough good pictures to add them to my shop. Hope to get that done today. And I have Vicky's ornament done for the exchange in ILCS group!!!

Well, that's my week in a nutshell. Be good, until next time.
