Wonderful March!

March was wonderful, for over 2 weeks in March we were above normal temps, so I used this time to start on the yard work. Bags of leaves.
Even Cooper loved being outside. He is the "big" dog around here and loves ruling the neighbor. Kayden took this picture.

More bags of leaves.

By the end of March, I just the property line between the backyard and the park to clean up.

Thought I would love living by the park until one day while I am trying to sleep, I keep hearing "In Coming", the US Reserves was practicing in the park, right behind my backyard.

Homestead...My bedroom is done! I love it! I can't believe I found carpet the same color as I painted the walls. With the dark walls and smaller window I am getting an hour more of sleep. For those that don't know I work nights.

All the vents in the house are out away from the walls, I was so glad to find this cast iron vent cover.

New headboard for my bed, new bed cover and pillows.

It felt so good to get all my jewelry unpacked! This stand hold my earrings, bracelets and anklets. Looks like I am running out of room and need to order another one.

My bedroom is done, so we moved on to Dylan's room.

Paneling gone and old insulation gone.

Old window out.

Did I say my room was done? While taking down the paneling in Dylan's room, Dylan but a hole in my closet wall.

It can't all be about work...We had a little fun in March too. Kayden and I made these chocolate nest spoons.

I tried a few new recipes this one...Raspberry French Toast, YUM!

We set up Myrtles pen. The fence in behind Kayden, we took down.

Myrtle

Put in a quick fire pit and had a couple of bomb fires. Kayden took these two pictures.

Dylan and his friends and of course Kayden.

Set up a lot of Kayden's outside toys and we had a play day.

On the last day of March, I was setting at my computer and when I looked up, this is what I found beyond my backdoor. The circus came to town! Dylan took Kayden and they had a great time.

ZaneyMay, since the move I have not been able to create new designs, so I have taken what little spare time I have had this month and been looking for new places to sale my jewelry and ornament patterns. I have all my patterns listed at Craftsy and to my surprise, one day while checking my FaceBook this is what I found...Top 20 Patterns This is always changing, I had two listed on the top 20 the first time I checked, then a few days later I had 4 listed on the top 20. Just checked it again and I have one listed on the top 20. I am sooooo glad I found this place to sale my patterns, it had more sales then my Etsy shop did in March.

I started listing patterns at ShopHandmade, I have anklets, bracelets and chokers listed as of today. This place has free listings for those that are looking for a place to sale your handmade items.

Also opened a shop up at Zahoomi, they are having free listings until May 1st. I have my anklets and some of my bracelets listed here.

Started listing at DIY Lessons, again I just have my anklets and some of my bracelets listed here. Sometimes, while listing at this shop, I have problems loading the pattern. Again here listing is free. Another surprise during March they put me in their blog, which boosted sales there.

Indiemade is another place I started listing patterns and I just have my anklet and some of my bracelet patterns listed here.

Just found this place Indiepublic and joined it the other day.

Now that I am actually making money on my patterns I decide to buy my domain name.

Well, March has been good to me, I hope it has been good to you too. Until next time.

Every year I make ornaments for family and give them on Thanksgiving. I started making these ornaments back in July and just finished them this week.
Friday night went out with the girls from work. Jackie is moving out of state so we had a little going away party for her.

Saturday we were invited out to Carl's place. He just bought more land and it has a pond and places to park campers. It was kind of hard to find, but after stopping an Amish family that was passing in their horse and wagon they knew where it was. LOL! It was so pretty out there I took a few pictures and I also have a video below of the view.

There is a small pond some where fishing to see what fish Carl has in his pond. His plans are to make the pond bigger and he already ordered over 500 fish for the pond.

While Bob and I was out there they caught a few cat fish and bass.

Jon and Nikki brought out their cooker and cooked some deer meat. Sorry I can't tell you if it was good or not, we left before it was done.

Well that was my week, hope you had a good one, until next time.

Camping over Labor Day Weekend. I made my famous Campfire Bundles, recipe here. The place where we were camping had a DJ one night and we went dancing, came back to the campsite very hungry, so I made up some Pineapple Shrimp Packets.
Canned pineapple slices, 1 1/2 pounds medium shrimp, peeled & divined, 1/3 C chopped sweet red pepper, 1/3 C brown sugar, 1 TBS seafood seasoning, 3 TBS butter, softened. Place on double heavy-duty foil a pineapple. Top with shrimp and red pepper. Combine brown sugar, seafood seasoning & butter, dot over shrimp. Fold foil & seal tightly. Grill over medium heat for 10-15 minutes.

Last week I made Blueberry Streusel Cobbler with Blueberry Sauce and served warm with ice cream. This is a family favorite, it was gone in 24 hours after making it. I did get two pieces.

1 pint fresh or frozen blueberries (fresh is best), 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated milk), 3/4 C plus 2 TBS cold butter, 2 C biscuit baking mix, divided, 1/2 C brown sugar. Oven 325. In bowl combine blueberries, sweetened milk. In large bowl, cut 3/4 C butter into 1 1/2 C biscuit mix until crumbly; add blueberry mixture. Spread in greased 9" square baking pan. In small bowl, combine remaining 1/2 C biscuit mix and sugar; but in remaining 2 TBS butter until crumbly. Sprinkle over cobbler. Bake 1 hour and 10 min or until golden. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream and blueberry sauce. Refrigerate leftovers.

Blueberry Sauce for Blueberry Streusel Cobbler-1/2 C sugar, 1 TBS cornstarch, 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon, 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg, 1 pint fresh blueberries. Combine ingredients in saucepan. Gradually add 1/2 C water. Cook and stir until thickened. Stir in 1 pint blueberries; cook and stir until hot.

Went to a birthday bash a friend was having, it was a lot of fun, seen few people I haven't seen in a while.
