Beads, wonderful beads!

Wedding
Tracy and Mark are now married. We missed the wedding and thought we missed most of the reception because of work. The reception was suppose to start at 5 and we had to work till 6. We got there about 6:40 and the wedding party wasn't even there yet. LOL!

The DJ had all the married couples come out on the floor for a dance and he would say if you have been married for Blank Time then you can leave the floor. He said 20 years and the couple dancing beside us looked at as like we should be leaving the floor. LOL! But then he skipped to 30 years and we did leave the floor. It was really neat when he said 56 years there was only one couple left and that was the brides Grandparents.

Stitching
After I finished the last CC cat I started on LK Dream. This is what it looks like as of today. I am stitching on 28 count hand dyed material using DMC floss. I am not stitching the boarder ( I learned my lesson on that-If the boarder doesn't add to the picture, then I don't stitch it. Because it just makes it harder to frame) and the background behind the capital letters I am stitching with one strand, half stitches. So it looks more like a background and not standing out with the letters.
Beading Classes
I will be giving beading classes starting in Aug. at Beads and Something More in Mishawaka, IN. If you are close enough to drive I would love to see you there.
Aug 14th at 10:30 am EST will be Floating Necklace. Picture below earrings, necklace, bracelet and anklet. There will be enough time in the class to make several pieces of jewelry.
Aug 14th at 1:00 EST will be Metal Crochet Necklace. Picture below necklace. But you can make a necklace, bracelet or anklet. There will be enough time to make a couple of pieces of jewelry.Etsy
I added a few more items last week...
Well, that was my week. I hope you had a nice week. If you got this far please leave a comment.

Friday - Sunday
We went camping and floated the river Saturday.

Todd, Jody and Steve

Bub, caught 5 fish!

Me & Bob
We made a few stops along the way. Waiting for the others, but they were so far behind us it was over an hour before they even made it make to the campsite.

Along the way, spiders 3 or 4 inches long, Carin or Haroun and we also caught two Leather Back Turtles, but the pictures were blurry. Dragonflies were so beautiful. We saw black with teal, black and a deep blue and black with white dots on the wings. Didn't get any pictures of the dragonflies, they didn't like the camera.

It was a great float even if we were with the crowd. Sometimes that is a good thing, if we had been with the crowd, we won't have seen nature at it's best. It did rain a few times along the way, but the rain felt good.
Etsy
Yes, I still have my etsy shop and I have been working to add new items. So far I have added Links in Shades of Purple-Bracelet

Thanks everyone that voted for my niece on the curb appeal. Sorry to say they didn't win.

July 4th

The 4th of July
At Uncle Terry and Dawn's house. It was a very nice day, even if we had to stop for a little rain. It soon cleared up and we were playing again.

Exchanges
Book & Magazine Exchange from Carol B, ESC group.

4th of July Exchange from Vicky L, KK group.

Finish
I started this piece about two weeks before the retreat. I just finished it the other day.
Calico Crossroads, Kitty Litter.
Started this ornament in January and just finished it. This one is for Dylan.
Retreat Goodies
A few more retreat goodies.
I used my G.S. from 123 Stitch and this is what I bought.
A few things I need to finish some projects and a few things I need to start a new project.
I also used my 35% off from Turquise Graphics & Designs, that sent us goodies for the retreat.
These are the two patterns I bought.
Saturday morning I took in my 4-H projects. I put all my stuff on the table and set down to fill out all the paper work. As I was writing I didn't notice that I was shaking the table and the bag that I had my beaded ornament in, fell on the floor and the ornament smashed to pieces!!! This is the second beaded ornament that I have broken within a month. Lesson learned, buy shatter proof ornament from now on for beading.

Retreat -Sunday

Sunday
Last day of the retreat. Berly and I went looking for one more bead shop "Ladybug Beads" before we headed home. After a few zig-zags and circles we did find it. We actually called the shop and got directions from them. LOL! Wow it was a very nice shop.
My stash from the bead shop. They but my purchase in the bag under all the beads.

When I arrived home, sometime between 10 and 10:30 pm EST. There was a box on the kitchen table for me. A box of beads that I had ordered from Rings & Things.

This box is full of patterns, that I will be posting on the ILCS group, these are the extras from the retreat.
Picture of the sunset on my drive home from Berly's house.
