Still here

I haven't had a lot of time for stitching, but I did get all the X's in Bob stocking and started on the beading at the top.
Been working a lot this last week. We finished the in ground in Grander and started on the retaining wall (I'll post pictures when we are done). Boy, the gnats are really bad this year. As you can see they eat me up. Mostly the back of my neck and there are a few bite in the hair line by my neck. They itch a little, but mostly just hurt. I never had bites like this before. The gnat bites where from last Friday. I had Bob take a picture of my neck today so I could see what it looked like.

Peanut Butter Ice Cream Squares
Peanut Butter Ice Cream Squares

1 1/4 C graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 C sugar, 6 TBS butter, melted, 1 C dry-roasted peanuts, chopped, 1/2 C light corn syrup, 1/3 C peanut butter, 1 qt. vanilla ice cream.

Mix crumbs, sugar & melted butter. Press onto bottom of 9x9x2" baking pan. Place in freezer.

Mix 2/3 C peanuts, corn syrup & peanut butter.

Stir ice cream to soften. Spoon half of the softened ice cream evenly over chilled crust.

Spread corn syrup mixture on top.

Carefully spread remaining ice cream over all.

Sprinkle with remaining 1/3 C chopped peanuts. Cover & Freeze.

Frozen Fruit Slush

Frozen Fruit Slush

3 med firm bananas-sliced, 1/2 C lemonade concentrate, 6 med ripe peaches peeled & cubed, 3 C water, 1 C sugar, 1 1/3 C seedless green grapes-halved, 1 can orange juice concentrate.

In large bowl, stir bananas & lemonade concentrate until coated. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover & freeze for 8 hours. Remove from freezer 1 to 1 1/4 hours before serving so mixture becomes slushy.

I like putting it is small single serving containers then freezing it. Also when it is slushy I will blend in for a few seconds and sometimes add ice cream.

Kayden at the park.
Kayden is 11 months old! It is hard to believe that a year is almost past. Two weeks ago we made several trips to the park in the stroller. He likes the stick, rocks and leaves the most. LOL!

I was trying to get him to the swing, slide, etc. but he didn't seem to have any interest in them until I said "Kayden, Grand

I am here, I AM here, I AM HERE!!!

Wow, where do I start?
Well, lets see... I was working on making my over 4,ooo pictures that I have saved on my pc into videos. The first part done and had to download the second part, that would burn them and make DVDs. As I was downloading the second part, my pc crashed!!! Thought I would just have it reformatted, but it still didn't work. So, I had to get a new pc and then transfer all the info. I am still having problems with outlook, but will have it fixed tomorrow.
Now on to all that has been going on since my last post.
Received a wonderful gift from my SS at ILCS group. Thank you so very much! The thread wips and one for the to-do-pile. Plus two patterns that I have wanted for a very, very long time.
Stitching! GREAT progress on EarthDancer, before I left for the HS Retreat.

Hoosier Stitchers Retreat

Lots of stitching and there was a lot of finishes. Great to see old friends and met new ones! Pictures of the stitching and the Show & Tell table.

One night we went into Bedford for a meal out.
While they everyone else finished eating I ran across the parking lot to get a belt at Big Lots. My pants kept falling down all day and it was driving me crazy. I found a belt and then ran over to K-Mart to pick up shampoo and conditioner (I had forgotten to pack). While I was going over to K-Mart I was trying to walk fast, because I thought they all might be waiting on me to return, and I was trying to put my belt on my pants. Oh that must of been a funny site. I have no idea if anyone saw me or not. LOL!
The dying class was such a hit last fall, that several wanted to do it again and there were a few that weren't there last fall, so Coleen was nice enough to do the class again. This is a picture of the material that I dyed.
Pictures of the rest of the material that was dyed.

Coleen falls asleep at the stitching table. My Room.
This is what I stitched on the entire retreat. So close to a finish, Just two more sample rows.
Pictures of the beaded fobs I made. I had forgotten my scissor at home, so I was going by memory to match colors. I think I did a real good job.

Last weekend Bob and I met up with the Argos group and had a great time out. Here are a few pictures.

Work!
Things are looking up! We have done two liner replacements, one opening, started on a new in ground and finishing up on an in ground restoration. And yes, that is a picture of me working. I didn't know that Bob took this picture until I loaded the pictures. See I work. LOL! I know before some had asked for pictures of me working, but I am the one that is always taking the pictures so, I am not in them.
