Have You Ever?!

MY WEEK

Well I did! I tried my hand at machine embroidery. I put about 25 hours in to making t-shirts for Bob's business. I Do Not like machine embroidery. I had a heck of a time trying to get everything just right and I think on each shirt there are small mistake. Blurred out the phone number. My plan was to have my sister Barb do it for me, but when I got to her house she showed me how the machine worked and said "I have to get things packed for a mission I am going on with the church". My niece Toni came over and tried to help the the next day.Finally finish what was suppose to be a quick stitch, but it took me almost two weeks to stitch. That shows how much free time I have had lately. LOL! I Love Sunshine by Linda Jary, 1996 Jeanette Crews Designs Inc. it is a freebie, but I can't find the link.
It has been a very busy week. We worked a lot in the shop, met with the bank about credit cards. When they left I asked Bob if he felt like he signed his soul away. LOL! And we are still trying to get the fireplace done. The guy keeps changing his mind. But we should be done next week. And did you know that the brick can change colors when done in a different run. Just like over dyed floss or yard.
Saturday I took a "Me Day" and went to Beads and Something More in Mishawaka. I had a good time playing. LOL! I made Tree of Life pendent and wire wrapped rings and of course I brought home some beads. They are also doing a Spring Design Contest winner gets a $50.00 gift certificate. I entered my Amethyst Flower Ring.
Tree of Life Pendent, I can see lots of different ways to do this one, Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter, Apple Tree, Halloween Tree, Family Tree, etc. I did mine with Indian blood stone and copper wire.

This ring is my favorite one. I was going to get more stones to make more at home, but I bought the last one. I made it a little to big for me and Dara really liked it so I was going to give it to her, but it was too big for her too. I showed the rings to my friend Nikki and she liked this one and it fit her so it is hers now.

When I picked this bead out for the class I thought it would be laying the other way. It is too big, at least that is what I think.

I really like the way this one turned out.

The class teacher was Malinda Dickens which I found out that she has a Etsy shop too.

In The Mail

MY WEEK

Lots of goodies came in the mail this week. First was my Bingo prize from ILCS group. Thanks Berly! Had a pair of these scissors a long time ago and loved them. She also made the beaded fob, isn't it cute.
Then I got the funniest card in the mail from my sister Barb, just because. Aren't sisters great!I was in the First Day of Spring Exchange at ILCS group and Sarah sent me this wonderful package of goodies. A cute card, two skeins for Weeks Dye Works, 32 and 28 count Silkweaver hand dyed fabric, JBW Designs "A Very Merry Spring" pattern and chocolate. Thanks so much Sarah!Dona (Kayden's other Grandma) made him this cute apron, with his name on it. At first he didn't want to wear it. But then a couple of days ago, when I do the dishes, he pushes a chair up by me, then he gets his apron and wants to wear it.

4) I ware braces on my hands-wrist when I sleep.

5) I like physical work.

6) I hate the cold. For me 60 or above, sunny and no wind.

7) I will laugh the hardest at the dumbest things.

8) The simple things in life will keep me in a good mood.

9) I have ran out of things to say...Edit I have a scar (indent) on my knee that is a bike peddle.

10) Will have to edit later.Edit I have been ran over by a 4 wheeler and the tire marks where on my leg for over a week. No it didn't break anything and it didn't even really hurt.

A Trip Down Memory Lane

MY WEEK

Monday was a beautiful day! Cleaned up the yard and put out Kayden's sand box. Kayden and I have been going on our walks again. But this year he doesn't want to say in the wagon or the stroller. He would rather walk with me. So, I didn't get the exercise I had planned. Tuesday and Thursday Bob and I went to Logansport. Way back in 1997 or 1998 Bob had done all the brick or block work on this house, dog house and barn. The owner called and asked Bob if he was still doing this kind of work, because he needed some work done. And pool season hasn't started, Bob decided to take the job. We powder washed the house, dog house and barn. Pictures are before and after.

We will be going back next week to water proof the brick and block, caulk the wood and build a fireplace. Oh, by the way the bog house has AC, that cracks me up!!!
We also worked in Bob shop this week.

STITCHING

I stitched these two freebies from Cross-Stitching.com.

Fancy Pants And Polka-Dot Bikini
The alphabet I used was from Leisure Arts "The Treasury Of Alphabets". I think they turned out real cute. I will be framing them and putting these on the doors to Bob's shop. They are stitched on 28 count linen.
MY WEEK

It was a very busy week, I worked in Bob's shop, cleaned the garage. Went to Kalamazoo, MI for a big pool and spa show. And went to Indianapolis to Serena's Gifts, to set up my booth area.

Below is a picture of her shop sign. I blurred out the phone number.

This is a picture of the shop. You can't see it but she has a beautiful display for weddings in the window.

Picture below is my booth area. It was hard to get a good picture of everything, but you can see most of it. It took me over 3 hours to set this up!!! I thought I had taken too much, but I see I could have done a lot more with my space. Well, that leaves me with room for improvement.

Serena was so nice, I think this is one of the best things I could have done. I hope it brings good things for both of us.
