Weekend and Kayden

I finished the glider/rocker! I think it looks a lot better. I also painted my tin for the ILCS tin class. As you can see the paint isn't that good. I have bubbles and a mix color.

Saturday Shari had a stitch in. This is what I made for lunch. Thanks so much Shari. I had a great time. It was great to see Katie, Annette and of course you. Thanks for the Jelly.

Kayden and Bob. Kayden at 3 months this video was a few weeks ago. He loves to kick now.

The second video is Kayden at 4 months. This is his new trick.

Stitching and Sewing

Friday I stitched up this tin topper for the class at ILCS group. I will be adding material to this tin. Have to go through my material, I hope I have something that matches.
Sunday I thought I would make my own cushion covers for the glider-rocker. This glider was my Grandma Cummins. I have had it for years and the cushions were falling apart. This was the first try as you can see I made the back cushion too small so I had to start over. I was going to toss out the first cushion, but then I thought (this is all new material, I shouldn't be tossing it out) and I came up with another use for the too small cushion. We are using it when we need to change Kayden on the floor. That way he has a little cushion to lay on.
The below picture is the second try, which looks alot better, if I do say so myself. It is on the front porch and I plan to paint the glider white. I have the primer, paint and gloss finish. I also plan on making different covers to change with the seasons.

A finish and framing

"Only Love Matters" by Trail Creek Farm is done. Gotta love the quick stitches. :) This is for the bourse class at ILCS group. Two pictures so you could see the size of the material and a close up of the stitching. I didn't stitch the border, because I think it would look funny inside the bourse.

With the bourse stitched, I decided to pull out "Romeo and Chicks" which is a UFO. I started this piece in 2005 or 2006 I can't remember. This is what it looked like 9/7/08 when it came out to play.
This morning I framed "My Own Little World". I received this pattern in a Secret Sister Exchange, I think it was Vickie that sent it to me. I stitched it up right away after receiving it. I just love it. Feel kind of bad that it took me so long to frame.
This is for Vickie. It is for the Small Finish Exchange in ILCS Group. Vickie's theme is tea or tea related things. I hope she likes it. It is a pattern that I had wanted to do for some time. So, I was glad when Vickie picked this for her theme.

Finally framed this for Kayden.
I still need to get the hardware to hang the pictures. But if feels so good to have them framed at last.
Thanks to everyone that stops by.

Teamwork

Finally it is done!!! Teamwork, I don't remember when I started this piece but I picked it back up on 8/17/08 and on 8/25/08 I had all the x's in just the back stitching left. I finished last night and pressed it this morning. :)
I am so glad to have this one done. My next project will be for the finishing class at ILCS group, the bourse class. I will be stitching "Only Love Matters" by Trail Creek Farm.

Aunt Wanda, Aunt Linda and my Mom.

When you live in Northern Indiana Labor Day weekend, means one thing the Blueberry Festival. We went to see the Little Texas Band, but it was way to crowded.
