Kayden
Kayden came over and spent the night last Monday night. We made sugar cookies. We had such a good time. He got so excited when I showed him the apple cookie cutter. He loves apples.
He even decorated the cookies by himself.
This week I made Kayden a Halloween pillow. A couple of years ago I made him a Halloween blanket, the pillow will match his blanket. He came over again Saturday night and spent the night again, I give him his pillow then.
Etsy
With all the painting, cleaning, moving and organizing the last two weeks. I haven't had much time to work on my etsy shop, but I did get this necklace done. I listed the pattern and kit in my shop. I this is also my "Little Black Dress Challenge" at Ohio Beaders yahoo group. No you don't have to live in Ohio to be in the group, just in the surrounding area.
StudioWell it doesn't look like I will get the swirls on my wall, my niece hasn't returned any of my text or facebook messages. So, now I plan is getting new curtains and painting them. I think the room needs more of the blackberry jam in it.
My mess...what to do with all the beads, buttons, charms and wire??? Well I ordered at stand with hud pegs and I ordered 3 extra huds. It arrived on Friday and tried to get it put together before I had to go to work at Miller's. But one of the center pieces that screws in was stripped. Saturday I put that piece on top and started organizing. I got to all the huds full and was going to add the extras I ordered but they didn't send the stoppers. So I am using a temporary stopper.
And my mess went from this to...
This! And there is room for more huds to be added. Then I can finish the small pile on the floor below the stand.
Welcome
WelcomeTo my studio...Open the door, along the west wall...
Computer desk, file cabinet. Yes, there is a small pile of papers I need to put in the pc, file and a few recipes I need to type up. If you look close you can see the necklace I made at the last Hoosier Stitchers Retreat, hanging on the knob.
Then the cabinet with odds and ends for different crafting projects, freebie patterns that are in 3 ring binders and organized (Christmas, Seasons, 4 of July, etc.) and a few folders with leaflets that aren't organized and a couple of binders with different finishing ideas in them. I found that I need two more 3 ring binders one for beading and another one for crochet patterns. So, they are still things that need to be done. LOL! Isn't that how it always is?!? And on top is a pile of things that I need to take to Shari's...frames that need glass and things that need frames and a few more leaflets.
Then along the North wall...is my stitching area. With winter around the corner I decided to leave my cross stitch quilt out that the ILCS group made me a few years ago. It is so pretty and colorful, I just love this quilt and it is still is new condition. Stitching chair, light and in the end table are wips, things I want to stitch soon and a few small kits. On top of the end table are projects I am stitching on now and stitching goodies. Stand is behind and can easily be pulled out when needed.
I have added a few things to the wall.
Then on the East wall is my working desk. For sewing or beading or what ever I am doing at the time. Small basket under the working desk is full of small cut pieces of material and a bag of cross stitch pieces that need to be finished into something. And I still need to clean and organize the draw.
Along the South wall is the closet and the TV. Yes, it is an old TV, but it works great. And a small organizer hanging on the back of the door. Ignore the cord across the floor that is for the computer, need to do something with that, I have already tripped over it twice.
I wanted to put in new floor, but with winter around the corner I didn't feel like I should be spending that kind of money.

I had heard of this for years and I have heard A LOT of stories about it, but we have never went. So, we decided to go. WOW! What an eye opener that was.
That was my week, hope your week was good. Now I am off to stitch. If you stop by don't expect to see my studio so neat, it never stays that way. LOL!

Thanks for sharing pics of your craft room. I am converting a bedroom into a craft room and am always looking for ideas.
your room is looking wonderful!!! You are so organized & on top of things!!! You do great!!! I wish I had HALF of your energy!!!
I love the pictures of Kayden making and decorating cookies!! My Mom taught me to make cookies at about the same age and I still love to bake!! There's a picture of me rolling out cookie dough too! Not sure I'd have thought about it with a boy, but why not?? I'll have to remember that in a couple of years when our grandson is old enough to do it! (he's not here yet!)
Your craft room looks great! Can't wait to get mine done! I worked a bit yesterday on my pattern storage! Gotta paint next!! :o)
